This 1950s Southwestern patchwork-pattern wool circle skirt brings its own scenery.
Figures, plants and buildings stretch around a red ground, with a broad black border
framing the hem. The full shape gives the decoration room to spread out, so there
is something new to notice as the skirt moves.

The arrangement is part of its charm. A generous area of red sits above the small,
colorful scene, keeping it from becoming an all-over pattern. The black band below
gives the eye somewhere to settle. It is a lively piece, but the red-and-black framework
makes it easier to dress than all that detail might suggest.

### Styling

Our white T-shirt styling is a good place to start: an everyday top takes the formality
out of the full skirt. A simple black [knit](https://shopquirkla.com/product-category/women/tops/sweaters/)
picks up the hem border and gives the decoration a darker backdrop. Tuck it in to
keep the waist visible, then add loafers or a low heel.

For a less expected pairing, try a crisp pale-blue shirt with the sleeves rolled
up. A short cardigan or cropped jacket will sit above the fullness rather than covering
the scene. If you want another bright color, choose a small accent already present
in the decoration and repeat it in a bag or earrings. There is plenty of personality
here without building the whole outfit around one decade.
