This one-of-a-kind 1960s gown brings together a vivid purple bodice and a silk chiffon
skirt with floral print and gold-foil brocade polka dots. The solid nylon bodice
sets off the skirt’s busy surface, while gold and purple brocade trim at the neckline
and cuffs ties the two parts together. Matching trim defines the waist above the
gathered skirt.

The high neckline and long sleeves make a clean frame for the pattern below. On
the skirt, metallic dots repeat across a dark ground, with colorful flowers and
geometric motifs becoming more prominent toward the hem. A center-back zip closes
the long silhouette, and scalloped gold edging outlines the trim.

**Modern size:** US 0/2.

**About the model:** Melynda is 5ft 6in, typically wears USA 0/2 in tops and 2/4
in bottoms, and is usually XS/S. Her waist measures 25in and high hips 37in.

### Styling

Pair it with delicate gold jewelry and a simple clutch, letting the skirt supply
the pattern. For a different mood, take the photographed headwrap and boots as a
styling cue, with the purple bodice holding the look together.

### Condition

Excellent vintage condition, near mint. This piece is sold as-is due to its age
and rarity.
