A little silver after dark, or well before it. This Joseph le Bon silk blouse brings
two kinds of embellishment together: close vertical rows of sequins on one side,
and winding silver-toned beadwork across the other. A diagonal border sweeps between
them, with a larger decorative motif near the waist.

The asymmetry is what makes the top worth a second look. One area reflects the light
in a broad shimmer; the other lets the black silk show between fine, curling lines.
The decoration continues onto the long sleeves, and the back has its own dense field
of silver-toned sparkle. A simple round neckline keeps the cut from competing with
the surface.

It is a useful lesson in wearing embellishment: the palette can stay restrained
while the texture does something quite extravagant. Black and silver give you plenty
of ways to dress around it, from a plain trouser to a bright, unexpected color.

## Wear it your way

Try it with straight-leg jeans and pointed flats when dinner does not call for a
dress. For a more polished outing, choose black tailored trousers and a small [evening bag](https://shopquirkla.com/product-category/bags/),
leaving the blouse untucked so the diagonal pattern stays visible. Deep red velvet
trousers would add another texture without introducing a competing print.

The printed shorts in our photographs take it somewhere more playful. A plain satin
skirt would make a softer alternative, particularly with low sandals and small earrings.
There is no need to save a good beaded top for a formal invitation. This listing
is for the blouse only.
