# Tastes Like Strawberry Trousers

Tastes Like Strawberry print trousers bring Melynda’s original hand-drawn fruit 
artwork to a relaxed wide-leg silhouette. Red strawberries and green leaves repeat
across a white ground, with the irregular detail of the drawing still visible. The
artwork is by [Quirk founder and designer Melynda](https://shopquirkla.com/vintage-fashion-boutique/).

## Behind the print

Melynda Choothesa drew the strawberries with watercolor markers while experimenting
with retro fruit prints for spring and summer. They nod to the playful patterns 
of the late 1960s and early 1970s, with hand-drawn outlines and little seeds that
keep the fruit from looking too perfect. On these trousers, a white ground gives
the red berries room to stand out.

## Strawberry print trousers in crushed velour

Each pair is handmade to order in crushed velour, with an elasticated drawstring
waist and lined side pockets. The wide leg gives the print room to show. Wear them
with a close-fitting knit or a plain tee, or carry the motif through with the [Tastes Like Strawberry bandana](https://shopquirkla.com/product/tastes-like-strawberry-silk-scarf/),

## Choose your size by measurement

Available in XS–2XL, including plus sizes. Measure around your natural waist and
the fullest part of your hips, then compare both with the chart. These are body 
measurements, not the dimensions of the finished trousers. Use the letter size and
measurements rather than assuming a standard numbered dress-size equivalent; the
inch ranges are rounded.

The trousers are designed to sit at the hips. The drawstring adjusts the waist, 
but it does not replace checking the hip measurement. If you fall between sizes,

## Wear it your way

Try a fitted black knit and platform sandals for a little late-night fruit, or a
plain white tee and sneakers for daytime. The relaxed leg does the work; keep the
top close-fitting if you want to balance the volume.

## Care and ordering

Turn inside out and wash at 30°C / 86°F. Use low heat for drying and iron on the
reverse, following the supplied care label. Do not wring.
