A cream skirt can do considerably more than play it safe. This Yves Saint Laurent
Rive Gauche piece has a defined waistband, a straight knee-length cut and a discreet

Yves Saint Laurent opened his first Rive Gauche boutique in Paris in September 1966.
The collection was conceived as ready-to-wear in its own right, rather than a less
expensive copy of his couture. That distinction is part of the label’s appeal: clothes
