Mid-late 1990s red silk crushed velvet loafers by Canadian-British designer, Patrick Cox. These shoes come in a silhouette that was very popular throughout the mid-90s, with a rounded toe box and slightly block 3.5″ heel, finished by a coordinated red silk crushed velvet bow. Shoes are in barely worn condition (appear to have only been worn once and then stored).
Patrick Cox set up his own company designing shoes in 1985, and in 1986 designed the shoes for John Galliano’s “Fallen Angels” collection. Subsequently, Cox launched his own Patrick Cox label. Cox continued to work with Galliano for two more seasons. He also produced the shoes for numerous designers’ fashion shows including Anna Sui, John Flett, Alistair Blair & Lanvin Haute Couture to name but a few.
Some minor imperfections, but otherwise, these pumps, are in pristine vintage condition and an excellent addition to any shoe-lover’s collection.
