BORN IN QUIRK. HERE FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
ABOUT THE PEOPLE’S
FREE BOUTIQUE
Here from day one. Still here for Los Angeles fire survivors. Free clothing and essentials, with dignity, choice, and care.
3,000+
People affected by the fires helped since January 2025.
A community response with a lasting commitment to our neighbors.
FASHION CAN HELP PEOPLE REBUILD
The People’s Free Boutique began inside the Quirk showroom in January 2025 as our community came together to help people affected by the Los Angeles fires. Rebuilding a wardrobe is also about feeling like yourself again.
Quirk continues to support this work. Unsold Quirk items go to the Free Boutique, giving useful pieces another life and helping our neighbors rebuild.
Sustainability, dignity, and community through fashion are at the heart of what we do.
SMALL TEAM. LASTING COMMITMENT.
We are fully volunteer-run, led by our two co-founders. We do our best to respond promptly, but appointment availability and response times depend on volunteer coverage.
Services are by confirmed appointment only. We always welcome long-term volunteers who can help us keep this work going.
We aim to remain a source of support for people affected by natural disasters in Los Angeles and LA County, while continuing to help our fire-affected neighbors.
Volunteer with us →OUR NEXT CHAPTER
We are excited to be working toward our own 501(c)(3) status under The Couture Zen Foundation. Our plans include expanding support for people rebuilding after displacement and hardship: survivors of domestic violence and trafficking, young people aging out of foster care, and people navigating housing transitions.
We also hope to develop creative fashion and retail skills opportunities and professional headshot support. These are future plans; we will share updates as programs become available.
BE PART OF THE WORK
We welcome donated goods, gift cards for practical needs, and long-term volunteers. Monetary donations are currently paused.
