Description
A leather jacket built around shape, texture, and unapologetically oversized proportion.
This vintage G-III Leather Fashions jacket combines softly worn golden-tan suede with tonal reptile-embossed leather across the shoulders, collar, lapels, front panels, cuffs, and waistband. The contrast is subtle from a distance, then increasingly dimensional up close as the embossed pattern catches the light.
The silhouette is unmistakably late-20th-century: broad dolman sleeves, a dropped and extended shoulder line, generous volume through the body, and a cropped banded hem that brings the shape back in at the waist. A wide notched collar frames the neckline, while double-breasted snap closures allow the front to sit open, partially closed, or fully fastened.
Angled welt pockets reinforce the jacket’s geometric paneling. Snap cuffs and adjustable snap tabs at the waistband add structure to the otherwise fluid, batwing-like cut. The back is especially strong, with a deep pointed yoke in reptile-embossed leather extending across the shoulders and down the center.
The interior label reads G-III Leather Fashions, RN 54663, and Made in Korea. The separate size tab is marked M.
Wear it over narrow trousers, dark denim, a slip dress, or a fitted knit to let the volume lead. It also works beautifully with high-waisted tailoring and longer layers that extend beneath the cropped hem.

Fit Notes
Marked vintage size M and estimated to best fit a modern unisex S/M.
On Jayden, the jacket has generous volume through the shoulders, chest, upper arms, and sleeves. The dolman construction creates significant ease through the upper body, while the cropped waistband sits closer around the lower torso.
A modern men’s Small should receive an intentionally oversized fit. A modern men’s Medium should receive a roomy upper body with a closer waistband. For women, the jacket should work especially well across modern Medium and Large sizing, depending on shoulder width, hip placement, and preferred volume.
The dolman construction makes conventional shoulder measurements less useful than they would be on a set-in-sleeve jacket. Waistband circumference, total back length, and sleeve span would be the most useful optional measurements.
Condition
Very Good Vintage Condition.
The jacket presents beautifully overall, with strong color, intact paneling, secure visible seams, and all photographed snaps present. The suede has natural tonal variation, gentle patina, areas of compressed nap, and scattered light surface marks consistent with age and wear.
The reptile-embossed leather panels show light rubbing and variation along raised areas, while the antique-gold-tone hardware has expected age-related finish variation. No major tears, open exterior seams, significant cracking, or large areas of leather loss are visible in the supplied photographs.
The lining and interior label appear intact in the available detail image. Please review all photographs closely, as the natural variation and patina are part of the jacket’s vintage character.
Styling Notes
Balance the jacket’s volume with narrow trousers, a fitted knit, a column skirt, cigarette pants, or straight dark denim. For a more directional silhouette, layer it over a long shirt, fluid skirt, or slim dress that extends beneath the cropped hem.
The golden tan works especially well with olive, tobacco, chocolate brown, faded black, burgundy, dusty blue, cream, ochre, and muted plum.
The plaid shirt, trousers, and other styling pieces shown are separate inventory and are not included.
Styling / Cross-Sell Note
