Description
A vivid pair of vintage DKNY slingback sandals with a sharply defined Y2K silhouette.
The red-orange uppers feature a small-scale reptile texture with warm golden contrast between the raised pattern. Layered straps cross asymmetrically over the foot, creating a sculptural shape that shifts as the sandals are viewed from different angles. Narrow front straps frame the square open toes, while slender back straps complete the minimal, barely-there construction.
Low sculpted kitten heels keep the profile delicate and wearable. Tonal red footbeds, heel sections, and edges extend the saturated color across the entire design.
The combination of square toes, slim straps, vivid color, and a low heel places the pair naturally within the late-1990s and early-2000s return to streamlined, body-conscious dressing.
Wear them with a black slip dress, cropped trousers, faded denim, white tailoring, or tonal red and orange separates. The saturated palette also works beautifully with chocolate brown, cream, khaki, navy, and restrained gold-tone jewelry.

Fit Notes
The manufacturer size and width are not legible or otherwise available.
A modern size estimate should be established using the usable footbed length, full outsole length, and widest outsole measurement. The open construction may offer more flexibility than a closed pump, but fit will also depend on the placement of the crossover straps, toe straps, and slingbacks.
No buckle or adjustable closure is visible. The current flexibility and recovery of the narrow heel straps should be assessed in hand.
No letter width should be assigned without a readable marking or supporting measurements.
Condition
Good Vintage Condition.
The red-orange uppers retain strong overall color, texture, and visual impact. Visible wear includes light rubbing and tonal variation across the straps, creasing through the crossover sections, minor edge wear, and small areas of surface handling consistent with prior use.
The tonal red footbeds show pronounced wrinkling, impressions, discoloration, and localized finish wear. The square toe edges show rubbing and small areas of finish loss.
The dark forefoot outsoles show substantial abrasion, scratching, darkening, and scattered areas where the surface finish has worn through to a lighter underlying layer. Both heel tips remain attached and show visible wear.
No completely detached strap, obvious sole separation, collapsed heel, or major structural failure is visible in the supplied photographs. Please review all images closely, particularly the slingbacks, crossover straps, footbeds, toe edges, heel tips, and outsoles.
Styling Notes
Lean into the saturated color with a black slip dress, white tailoring, dark denim, or a narrow chocolate-brown skirt.
For a more directional Y2K look, pair them with cropped trousers, a fitted tank, a bias-cut midi, or tonal red and orange layers finished with minimal gold-tone jewelry.
