Description

This is portraiture on a small, wearable scale. Mio Queena gives an elongated oval face a silver-tone finish, then surrounds it with the warmer gold of a broad, rounded band. The eyes sit unevenly, the nose projects in a long ridge and the lips are drawn with a few emphatic curves. Those irregularities are the point: the face feels expressive without settling into a single obvious mood.

The contrast continues around the ring. Smooth gold-plated shoulders lead into a narrower shank, while the raised silver-tone features create their own highlights and shadows. Seen in profile, the forehead, nose and chin stand clear of the band. The reverse reveals the interior construction beneath the sculpted top.

Styling

Give the face a little space. A plain cuff, an unadorned knit or the edge of a crisp shirt lets the portrait register clearly. Its two-tone finish also makes an easy bridge between silver and gold pieces, without requiring a matching set.

Melinda who started and runs Quirk the people free boutique is so amazing upbeat and selfless to continue to help all of us that lost our homes. This humble little vintage shop, is a HIDDEN GEM in downtown Los Angeles. If ya "blink" ya jus might miss this sweet little treasure chest.. The owners prices R VERY AFFORDABLE. Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. Most recent purchases were a 1970s YSL handbag and kimono jacket that always get me compliments when I wear them out.
