Description
Pale yellow cotton and generous lace details give this 1960s I. Magnin blouse its romantic character. A broad lace collar frames the neckline, with a ruffled jabot continuing down the front. Long sleeves finish in deep lace cuffs, so the decoration remains visible when the blouse is worn beneath a jacket.
The smooth cotton body gives the lace room to stand out. Look closely at the floral pattern, the scalloped edges and the way the front ruffles fall over one another. The pale yellow keeps those details soft, while a tuck into tailored trousers gives the blouse a clear, defined line below the jabot.
I. Magnin was the San Francisco department store known for bringing American and European fashion to its customers. Its store label is part of this blouse’s history, alongside the lacework and romantic 1960s shape. The same details give it a cottagecore character today, with plenty of room for a more tailored interpretation.

Styling
Our model wears it with a purple Sharis Cashmere blazer and dark tailored trousers. Let the lace cuffs extend beneath a jacket sleeve, and leave the neckline open enough for the collar and jabot to show. For the office, keep the original idea of high-waisted trousers; for a weekend, a flowing skirt changes the outline while keeping the blouse’s softer character.
