Navy snowflakes and red geometric bands circle the cream ground of this 1970s JCPenney acrylic-knit sweater, continuing across the front, shoulders and back. Ribbing at the crew neck, cuffs and hem gives the patterned pullover a clean finish, with a fine navy border connecting the lower edges to the yoke. The label reads 100% acrylic and size M; its modern fit is US S/M. Wear it with high-waisted denim or tailored trousers, or layer it over a slip dress with hoop earrings and platform shoes. Brand: JCPenney

A cream ground sets off navy snowflakes and bands of red geometric pattern on this 1970s JCPenney sweater. The motif continues across the shoulders, sleeves and back, giving the pullover interest from every angle. A ribbed crew neck, long sleeves and ribbed cuffs and hem finish the shape, while a fine navy border ties the lower edges back to the patterned yoke.

The label identifies the knit as 100% acrylic and the sweater as made in Taiwan. Its snowflake-and-geometric arrangement gives it the character of a winter sports knit, with enough color to carry a simple outfit. The cream, navy and red combination works just as well with dark denim as it does with tailored trousers.

Modern size: US S/M. Marked size: M.

About the model: Willie is 5 ft 8 in and a USA men’s size M. His waist is 30/31 in and his jacket size is 38R–40R.

Styling

I had a really good experience at Quirk. Its located in DTLA which is known to give you headaches with parking. Luckily there were several fairly priced garage options on the same block. The shop is located on the second floor of this cool, early 20th century style building. I love vintage buildings so I was hyped before I even stepped into Quirk. But once inside I was really digging the vibes. They have a really selection of vintage, modern clothes for women and men. With assistance of the curator, Melynda, I was able to grab a few items for an upcoming headshot session. I didn't have to break the bank as the items I purchased were from a $20 rack. As an enthusiast of cool articles of clothing from from then to now and back again, I discovered a gem in dtla called Quirk!  Co-owner Melynda always creates the best experience whenever I stop by...much like like visiting a friend and unlike some vintage shops there's always something new in rotation. Upon having dinner in DTLA a friend and I stumbled upon QUIRK, what a treasure of a vintage store. A hidden gem!!! An insider's secret.. but not for long. Loved Melynda's eye for well curated vintage clothing and accessories. Working as a stylist in Films and Editorial, Melynda is defintely on point. Went by on a Saturday with my daughter.  Melynda was awesome and helpful, as always.  We both found things we needed.  What I appreciate about Melynda is the personal service and how she honestly cares about if something is "right" for you or not. Service was excellent I was recommended with a well thought of outfit. Melynda a stylist and the owner was kind enough to take care of the details. The variety of curated designs are also exceptional from vintage 60's to early 2000's. This is Amazing what Melynda  with Quirk has done to help the residents of the LA Fires! She jumped in without hesitation and put her own biz in hold to help others in need.  Taking in donations from everyone kindly donating including myself gathering toiletries and rolling racks with the help from the   people in my home town Santa Barbara! 
She created a Free shopping boutique with very stylish clothes , shoes, handbags and also stuff for kids! 
Also added in Hair and facial services so people can feel good during these trying times!

Quirk is the kind of place you walk into and immediately feel like you've inherited the wardrobe of a rich, eccentric aunt who traveled the world and kept all the best pieces. Every rack feels intentional, lived in, and full of personality. Nothing feels random. Each item has a story, and you can sense it the moment you start browsing.

The bag selection alone is worth the stop. There are so many standout pieces that feel like true finds, not just resale. The kind of bags you don't see twice.

What really makes this place special is the owner, Melynda. She's genuinely fun to talk to and clearly passionate about what she curates. You can tell there's pride and care behind every piece in the shop. Talking with her about vintage fashion and the stories behind the items made the experience feel personal, not transactional.

I volunteered at Quirk all afternoon today, and there is so much love and support alive in that space. They are overwhelmed with so many incredible donations and every single thing is being sorted and placed directly into the free shop where fire victims can come shop and get what they need. All items are the same quality you would find in a thrift store like Buffalo Exchange. There were volunteers helping people find clothing items that fit and served their needs while they’re grappling with the loss of their homes and belongings. I highly recommend supporting this local business. The owner Melynda has been so generous in helping out fire victims by creating a pop up free clothing boutique, and volunteering her time there.
