I had a really good experience at Quirk. Its located in DTLA which is known to give you headaches with parking. Luckily there were several fairly priced garage options on the same block. The shop is located on the second floor of this cool, early 20th century style building. I love vintage buildings so I was hyped before I even stepped into Quirk. But once inside I was really digging the vibes. They have a really selection of vintage, modern clothes for women and men. With assistance of the curator, Melynda, I was able to grab a few items for an upcoming headshot session. I didn't have to break the bank as the items I purchased were from a $20 rack. We walked by coincidentally or by fate after we had given up on finding a costume for a 1900s theme party. We told Melynda (owner/stylist) our story and she quickly dived into finding us something fabulous to wear. My friend and I turned out to be the best dressed at the party. What I loved the most from shopping at Quirk was Melynda's passion for her work as a costumer designer and stylist. Her willingness to help us out is exactly what you expect from any service driven industry. Will definitely be back because the clothes is vintage and original and Melynda is awesome! 5 stars for what they are doing for the community but not for my personal experience. They were listed on the wildfire Google sheet / website as one of the few places still accepting donations, so I brought all my unworn clothes over. The address on the website and online is not the correct one, so had to get back in my car and find new parking closer to the new location. Then I get inside and they said donations are by appointment only. 30 minute drive and a lot of parking hassle with nothing to show for it. Would be nice if they updated their donation status and location on the Google sheet. Annoying for me but glad they are helping those in need. The new location is in the photo.

What a gem! The People's Free Boutique is such a wonderful idea to bring to the community and the volunteers couldn't be more genuine or friendly to the customers. It is very organized and easy to shop. I am so glad this resource exists.

Quirk is the kind of place you walk into and immediately feel like you’ve inherited the wardrobe of a rich, eccentric aunt who traveled the world and kept all the best pieces. Every rack feels intentional, lived in, and full of personality. Nothing feels random. Each item has a story, and you can sense it the moment you start browsing.

The bag selection alone is worth the stop. There are so many standout pieces that feel like true finds, not just resale. The kind of bags you don’t see twice.

What really makes this place special is the owner, Melynda. She’s genuinely fun to talk to and clearly passionate about what she curates. You can tell there’s pride and care behind every piece in the shop. Talking with her about vintage fashion and the stories behind the items made the experience feel personal, not transactional.

I've been coming to Quirk for years now. Some of my favorite pieces have come from her shop and I always get compliments. It's the perfect place to get something unique that not everyone has. Top quality items. One of my first pieces I bought from her is a vintage Armani blazer that has become a regular staple piece for me. Still in my rotation years later :)

The shopping experience itself is always a treat (coming from someone who doesn't like shopping). Melynda is super welcoming and helpful if you're looking for something in particular. If she doesn't have it, it's likely she will soon, as she's regularly getting new inventory.

This place is the bomb!! Super cool fun eclectic selection and owner Melinda is the bomb!! Walked in just before closing and she was patient and helpful and hooked me up with the bright blue vintage Jumpsuit & metallic belt of my dreams. :) Not to mention a rad purple Phillip Lim top on sale for $20. Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. Love this store & Melinda beyond BEYOND She is so helpful and creative. Her fashion sense and charm will bring about the perfect outfit for any occasion. I went in 6 months pregnant, hot and in need of some fun looks to brighten up my life. Quirk for Fire Vicitms has been such a special place for me. I have found wonderful clothes to get myself started after losing my home in Pacific Palisades. The boutique is clean, organized and the volunteers are so kind and helpful.
