Description

A broken heart, given a place of honor on the sofa. This pink and red throw pillow features original artwork hand drawn by Quirk founder and designer Melynda: bold hearts split down the middle, outlined in black against a pink ground. The uneven lines keep the drawing personal, with just enough melodrama for your favorite reading chair.

A Broken Hearts throw pillow, made for your room

Choose a small square for an armchair, a larger square for the corner of a sofa, or a rectangular cushion to layer across a bed. Each pillow is handmade to order with the printed front, an ivory-beige reverse, black piping and a heart-shaped zipper pull. The cover is removable, and your choice of polyester or feather insert is included.

Choose your fabric and filling

  • Soft Velvet: a plush surface with a soft pile.
  • Velvet Shimmer: a velvet finish with a more noticeable sheen.
  • Mayfair Herringbone: a woven herringbone texture.
  • Archway Brushed Twill: a softly brushed twill.
  • Cotton-Linen: a natural-fiber blend with a plain weave.

The two velvets, herringbone and brushed twill are polyester fabrics. Choose the texture you prefer, then select a polyester-fiber or duck-feather insert. Fabric texture can affect how the print catches the light.

5 stars for what they are doing for the community but not for my personal experience. They were listed on the wildfire Google sheet / website as one of the few places still accepting donations, so I brought all my unworn clothes over. The address on the website and online is not the correct one, so had to get back in my car and find new parking closer to the new location. Then I get inside and they said donations are by appointment only. 30 minute drive and a lot of parking hassle with nothing to show for it. My experience with Quirk was online. I was in some need of something white to wear that catches the eye, and found something that suited my taste in a few minutes. It was my 2nd or 3rd time browsing the site, and my first time purchasing from it. I was familiar with the site and brand (was recommended by a close friend of mine who has good taste), and decided to check it out. I liked the layout of the site, made it pretty easy to look for what I like, and found what I wanted in like 4 minutes after browsing. Paying was straightforward, I received the package in about 10 days (flat fee for shipping), and it fit pretty well. Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. Melinda who started and runs Quirk the people free boutique is so amazing upbeat and selfless to continue to help all of us that lost our homes. Quirk has been a loving space for me to get help to start over again and a big part of my healing journey I have visited a couple of times and found wonderful clothes to help me get back to work and visit my son at college. It is organized, clean and has great donations. I am forever grateful and count Melinda as a new friend. I also met many other fire victims and ran into old friends. This humble little vintage shop, is a HIDDEN GEM in downtown Los Angeles. If ya "blink" ya jus might miss this sweet little treasure chest.. The owners prices R VERY AFFORDABLE. Did I jus say,"affordable?" I did NOT know that word still eXisted in fashion these daze, haha !! NO joke, she will sincerely work with ya on pricing. She's a doll, & she's knowledgeable about fashion. I UNeXpectedly  "popped-in" & I found the most amazing "rock-starr" coat eva !!  I wish this mini-vintage boutique much success.
