Bright produce, gleaming fish and the everyday theater of a market stall: Quirk’s Mexico City Market plates bring documentary-style food photography to a shelf, a wall or a serving table. Their full-surface prints turn an ordinary round plate into a small photographic display.

Choose your plates

Diameter: 6.5 inches, 8 inches or approximately 10.4 inches.
Pack size: 1, 2, 4 or 8 plates, all in the diameter you select. This is a plate-count choice, not a mixed-size place setting.
Artwork: the single plate features the fish photograph; the two-plate option adds colorful produce. The four-plate collection includes fish, produce, market poultry and pineapples. Photos show the different designs.
Display: choose an upright stand, a wall hanger or None. Hardware is included only when you select it.

Display & care

Use these as decorative plates or for serving food without cutlery. Knives and forks can damage the printed surface, so they are not intended as everyday cutting-and-dining plates. Hand wash gently to care for the image; avoid abrasive cleaning. Follow the instructions supplied with any wall hanger.

5 stars for what they are doing for the community but not for my personal experience. They were listed on the wildfire Google sheet / website as one of the few places still accepting donations, so I brought all my unworn clothes over. The address on the website and online is not the correct one, so had to get back in my car and find new parking closer to the new location. Then I get inside and they said donations are by appointment only. 30 minute drive and a lot of parking hassle with nothing to show for it. Would be nice if they updated their donation status and location on the Google sheet. Annoying for me but glad they are helping those in need. The new location is in the photo.

My experience with Quirk was online. I was in some need of something white to wear that catches the eye, and found something that suited my taste in a few minutes. It was my 2nd or 3rd time browsing the site, and my first time purchasing from it. I was familiar with the site and brand (was recommended by a close friend of mine who has good taste), and decided to check it out. I liked the layout of the site, made it pretty easy to look for what I like, and found what I wanted in like 4 minutes after browsing. Paying was straightforward, I received the package in about 10 days (flat fee for shipping), and it fit pretty well. The shirt fit me well, and I liked the length of it which was longer than typical shirts, I appreciated the minimalism of it. All in all, a great purchase! 5 stars.

Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. Most recent purchases were a 1970s YSL handbag and kimono jacket that always get me compliments when I wear them out.
