My mom and I found the Peoples Free Boutique by Quirk after the fires devastated our neighborhood in Altadena. We've been building care boxes for an entire group of people, not just ourselves, and were welcomed into the space. It allowed us to recreate beautiful closets in a safe space, which has become harder to find as the relief efforts continue in the second wave. Very grateful for the energy and dedication that Melynda and her team of volunteers had shown to our community!!

Go check out the Peoples Free Boutique on Spring St if you've been impacted by the fires they will help you rebuild and feel fabulous! If you weren't impacted by the fires but want to support Quirk for now you would message Melynda on Instagram to set up a shopping appointment! This is Amazing what Melynda  with Quirk has done to help the residents of the LA Fires! She jumped in without hesitation and put her own biz in hold to help others in need.  Taking in donations from everyone kindly donating including myself gathering toiletries and rolling racks with the help from the   people in my home town Santa Barbara! 
She created a Free shopping boutique with very stylish clothes , shoes, handbags and also stuff for kids! 
Also added in Hair and facial services so people can feel good during these trying times! 
She's amazing and thank you for everything you are doing! You Rock girl!!!

I stopped by this Boutique once before by mistake it's just down the street from artisan house I came by they have a nice selection of men and women's clothing it's a mixture of modern and vintage pieces oh and I found many highend labels. I volunteered at The People's Free Boutique while it was still in its temporary space, and I am better for it. It is a wonderful resource, Melynda has been so organized, compassionate, and all around an amazing leader for this huge effort to assist those impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. Through some folks' worst days, Melynda and the Quirk team were there. It's amazing that Melynda has kept it up for as long as she has, and I hope the People's Free Boutique can stay open as long as there is a community need.

Quirk is a great place to rent or buy unique clothing. Melynda has curated such a great variety of items. I rented a gorgeous gown for a work event and bought multiple things including a vintage Italian suit that I get complimented on all the time. Quirk shop & wear is so cool. I bought two shirts form there and everywhere I go

Quirk is WONDERFUL! Small but mighty, always new and exciting finds, plus the real deal when it comes to fashion and expression. Owned by a stylist/awesome fashionista, with a passion and drive that offers the best experience in vintage shopping. I got the most gorgeous silk blouse...and some shoes that fit me like Cinderella! 

If you live in Los Angeles, you know how hard it is to find awesome vintage at a reasonable price. From the fight over Dior at a thrift store, to the snobby and over priced 'bo-ho' Buffalo Exchange, to the trendy and overly pretentious places on Melrose-it's just another face in the crowd, on the scene.

We walked by coincidentally or by fate after we had given up on finding a costume for a 1900s theme party. We told Melynda (owner/stylist) our story and she quickly dived into finding us something fabulous to wear. My friend and I turned out to be the best dressed at the party. What I loved the most from shopping at Quirk was Melynda's passion for her work as a costumer designer and stylist. Her willingness to help us out is exactly what you expect from any service driven industry. Will definitely be back because the clothes is vintage and original and Melynda is awesome! I've been coming to Quirk for years now. Some of my favorite pieces have come from her shop and I always get compliments. It's the perfect place to get something unique that not everyone has. Top quality items. One of my first pieces I bought from her is a vintage Armani blazer that has become a regular staple piece for me. Still in my rotation years later :)

The shopping experience itself is always a treat (coming from someone who doesn't like shopping). Melynda is super welcoming and helpful if you're looking for something in particular. If she doesn't have it, it's likely she will soon, as she's regularly getting new inventory.

Quirk for Fire Vicitms has been such a special place for me. I have found wonderful clothes to get myself started after losing my home in Pacific Palisades. The boutique is clean, organized and the volunteers are so kind and helpful. There is also the cutest dog that lives there
