Description
A clean line in unapologetic green. This Missoni skirt keeps the silhouette narrow and gives the color an uninterrupted stretch from waist to hem. A gathered waistband finishes the top, with a hem that falls around the knee in the styled photographs.
Ottavio and Rosita Missoni established their knitwear workshop in Gallarate in 1953, building a fashion house in which color became as important as shape. The archive is full of inventive combinations of stripes, pattern and tone. This skirt offers a simpler way to bring that appetite for color into a wardrobe: one vivid shade, ready to sit beside something you already own.
Give the green some company
Our cropped white tee makes the skirt feel relaxed, with the waistband left visible. Try the same idea with loafers, or add an oversized shirt and a small, bright accessory. Pink and green are lovely together; a pink blouse would take it somewhere quite different from the white-tee look.
A patterned scarf can pick up a little green without making the whole outfit match. For a quieter day, try a navy knit and brown flats. The straight skirt shape also gives a fuller sleeve room to be dramatic without adding volume everywhere. The pictured top and jewelry are styling pieces and are not included.
