David in the Clouds is an art print one-piece swimsuit with a classical profile on a decidedly off-duty assignment. A close-up of David fills the front, set against a blue sky that continues around the low, scooped back. The oversized image and quiet palette give the familiar statue a different setting.
The print layers a digital photograph of David over clouds captured on 35mm film by Quirk founder and designer Melynda above JFK, during one of her trips to New York Fashion Week.
The scoop neckline frames the portrait, while the high-cut leg and cheeky back keep the silhouette spare. Smooth four-way stretch fabric moves with the body, and a double-layer front adds coverage. For a change from swimwear, wear it as a bodysuit with wide-leg trousers or an open linen shirt.
Fabric composition varies by production location: 75% recycled polyester and 25% elastane for pieces made in the US or Mexico; 82% polyester and 18% elastane for pieces made in Latvia. The exact composition is listed on the garment label.
Rinse thoroughly after swimming to remove salt or chlorine. Avoid rough surfaces and hook-and-loop fasteners, which can snag the fabric. Light areas of the single-layer back may appear sheer when wet.
Use the body measurements below to choose your size. Measure around the fullest part of your bust and hips and the narrowest part of your waist, keeping the tape level. If you fall between sizes, choose the larger size.
