Description

Heartbreak, but make it hot pink.

This Quirk Original bucket hat covers a classic paneled silhouette in an allover broken-heart print, combining a saturated pink ground with red hearts and crisp black outlines. The contrast is playful, graphic, and just irreverent enough.

A white underside printed with repeating black QUIRK lettering flashes beneath the brim as the hat moves. Multiple rows of visible topstitching reinforce the brim, helping it hold a defined shape while maintaining the relaxed feel that makes a bucket hat easy to wear.

The paneled crown sits close to the head, while the short-to-medium brim slopes gently around the face. On Jayden, the hat fits securely without obvious compression or looseness and reads as a modern adult M/L.

Pair it with monochromatic black, washed denim, relaxed tailoring, swimwear, or another print when restraint is not the assignment.

Scale Notes

Estimated to best fit an adult M/L.

On Jayden, the crown sits securely without visible compression, while the brim clears the temples and ears and maintains a clean, lightly structured shape. The photographed proportions are most consistent with a typical medium-to-large adult hat fit.

Head shape, hairstyle, and hair volume may affect how a bucket hat sits. Compare the listed interior circumference with a comfortable hat you already own once that measurement has been added.

Condition

Excellent Condition.

The exterior remains vivid, the crown retains its intended paneled structure, and the brim presents with crisp visible topstitching. The contrasting QUIRK wordmark underside also presents cleanly.

Minor thread and edge irregularities are visible around portions of the brim and panel seams, consistent with the hat’s constructed finish. No major stains, holes, split seams, heavy fading, or structural damage are visible in the supplied photographs.

Styling Notes

Use the hat as the high-color punctuation in a quieter outfit, or combine it with another print for a deliberately maximal look.

The hot-pink and red palette works especially well with:

  • Black and white
  • Washed or indigo denim
  • Chocolate brown
  • Burgundy
  • Tomato red
  • Olive
  • Powder blue
  • Silver
  • Graphic monochrome

Style it with an oversized button-front shirt, a cropped jacket, a tank dress, a relaxed suit, swimwear, or a plain T-shirt and wide-leg trousers.

Styling / Cross-Sell Note

Shown with a vintage geometric-print button-front shirt and light-blue trousers. The shirt, trousers, shoes, and other styling pieces are separate inventory and are not included.

Curation Note

Each Quirk piece is selected or created for quality, construction, wearability, styling potential, and point of view.

I finally walked in after walking by for years when I heard they were in need for volunteers for their donation drive. I'm ashamed I haven't found this store before. The owner is fantastic, she hopped out of a hospital bed and straight to setting up this push to help people. The store, as it's known, on the fourth floor feels like you are thriving with some of the most upbeat staff to aid you find everything you need for woman's clothing, toiletries, and undergarments. On the second is where you can find an almost equal amount of men's, rare to have this ratio in any department store. Kids all the way down to infants, with diapers, and toys. Here you can see volunteers going from room to room sorting through, sizing, and cleaning up donations to stock both floors. Snacks, water, non-perishable food, and a welcome environment has made this a far distinction from digging through a pile of T-shirts on a folding table. My time volunteering here has been exhausting in the best way, the tiredness that comes with knowing you've done good, that your work and presence are valued. I'll continue to be here everyday I can until Melynda gets tired of me saying, "Happy ___day!" We're still here!

An absolute gem of a boutique, with a constant stream of unique vintage pieces! I was able to get the perfect dress, pumps, handbag, and hat for a formal tea at very short notice. The store is easy to access in the second floor of a fashion design building. The owner is a talented costume designer with a wealth of experience from film and more. Whether you go in with a decade-specific goal in mind, or are just looking for a special treasure, you will surely find something magical!!!

What a gem of a place! Everything I took home fit. The clothes were fabulous but Trent was so cool and cute, Carmen was so very helpful going out if her way for me and Allison helped my cousin hand pick his new wardrobe and not to mention she was gorgeous to boot! Thank you Quirk, Thanks for going above and beyond and for restoring my faith in humanity! Margo and Raul

I had a really good experience at Quirk. Its located in DTLA which is known to give you headaches with parking. Luckily there were several fairly priced garage options on the same block. The shop is located on the second floor of this cool, early 20th century style building. I love vintage buildings so I was hyped before I even stepped into Quirk. But once inside I was really digging the vibes. They have a really selection of vintage, modern clothes for women and men. With assistance of the curator, Melynda, I was able to grab a few items for an upcoming headshot session. I didn't have to break the bank as the items I purchased were from a $20 rack. I will def go again. I highly recommend checking it out.

Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. Most recent purchases were a 1970s YSL handbag and kimono jacket that always get me compliments when I wear them out.

This is such a fabulous find! A true gem tucked away in DTLA!! I went looking for vintage men’s items to match a watch I was gifted, and Melynda helped me pick out the most beautiful suit. She’s amazing too - she has the most fun and quirky style, but also donates clothes to victims of the wildfires. She gave me a tour of “The People’s Free Boutique” and it’s laid out to make those who have lost everything feel like they are really shopping for high-end items rather than getting things for free. I will be back to support Quirk Vintage again!!
