Quirk is the kind of place you walk into and immediately feel like you've inherited the wardrobe of a rich, eccentric aunt who traveled the world and kept all the best pieces. Every rack feels intentional, lived in, and full of personality. Nothing feels random. Each item has a story, and you can sense it the moment you start browsing. The bag selection alone is worth the stop. There are so many standout pieces that feel like true finds, not just resale. The kind of bags you don't see twice. What really makes this place special is the owner, Melynda. She's genuinely fun to talk to and clearly passionate about what she curates. You can tell there's pride and care behind every piece in the shop. Talking with her about vintage fashion and the stories behind the items made the experience feel personal, not transactional. I worked with Melynda on a professional photoshoot for my company and ever since then I have been going to her store. Such a great way to change up my style and find new unique items. I highly recommend supporting this local business. The owner Melynda has been so generous in helping out fire victims by creating a pop up free clothing boutique, and volunteering her time there. I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Quirk fairly recently and I am most certainly delighted I found this little gem! Located on a busy downtown street, its colorful, unique vintage items are arranged and merchandised well! For a small space, a diverse range of eclectic items will most certainly entice you! Trust me, ya won't leave without buying a little keeper! I love the Seven 4 all Mankind Tight pencil skirt I found and I have some items on hold I can't wait to get! The Owner/Stylist, Melynda is an absolute doll, and a pleasure to chat with as you browse the items, If you are a vintage fanatic or Fashionista, check this place out! I was so happy to finally find a store in the heart of Dtla that sells true vintage clothing and accessories! It gets better- the owner, Melynda is a stylist/ costume designer who gave me style advice on a whim. Prices are reasonable and there’s even a $20 rack! Total hidden gem. Skip Zara. I volunteered at The People's Free Boutique while it was still in its temporary space, and I am better for it. It is a wonderful resource, Melynda has been so organized, compassionate, and all around an amazing leader for this huge effort to assist those impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. Through some folks' worst days, Melynda and the Quirk team were there. Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. I am such a shop-aholic at her store. I love her dresses and shoes. The owner always put a great story behind every outfit and whom she did her work. The owner, Melynda is AMAZING Stylist in the business. Her work is ABSOLUTELY amazing and her dog Prudence who comes into the store makes the vibe very loving and friendly. My experience with Quirk was online. I was in some need of something white to wear that catches the eye, and found something that suited my taste in a few minutes. I had a fun time browsing the site, looking at the selection that was offered, it was fun to see so many bright colors, which is why it was a pleasent surprise for me to find something I felt more comfortable with. I made my purchase online after seeing how the sizes were measured (which was more detailed than most other sites), and felt confident making my choice. After about 10 days it arrived, and it was exactly how I saw it on the site. My friends and I had a very pleasant and wonderful visit at Quirk. I got these beautiful snake skin shoes with a vintage neck scarf which i also fall in love with. I got compliments from people every time i wear them.  I wanted to buy everything when I was there. There are jewelry, scarfs , shoes, dresses and the HATS. The price is very affordable so I was a happy shopper. The next best thing ( or the best ) about Quirk is the shop owner, Melynda. She is friendly and extremely helpful in helping you putting your dream outfits together and giving you advices when you needed them. She makes my shopping experience fun and comfortable. The shop is beautiful. I love the warmth and the openness of the shop. It stands out in the middle of the busy downtown LA streets.
