Cherry blossoms meet everyday denim in Sakura, an artwear design by Raf Reyes for VERYRARE. The floral artwork brings a softer note to a familiar fabric, giving a plain tee or a simple knit a more interesting partner.
Reyes sets the delicacy of flowering branches against the everyday character of denim. The result is a piece that carries its artwork through ordinary dressing: the embroidered surface brings colour and detail, while familiar jeans construction makes it straightforward to style with pieces already in a wardrobe.
The stitching gives the branches and petals a visible texture against the washed blue surface. Brown stems link darker green leaves with sharper yellow-green foliage, while pink flowers bring smaller points of contrast. Front pockets, a coin pocket and two back pockets retain the recognizable structure of jeans. Belt loops, a button fastening and zip fly finish the waist, with VERYRARE branding visible at the back.
