Description
A functional cold-weather layer reconsidered as a statement trouser.
These vintage liner pants are constructed from a lightweight mustard-gold textile with softly padded geometric quilting throughout. The surface catches the light with a subtle satin sheen, while the insulation gives the legs shape and volume without the weight of a conventional winter pant.
The silhouette is high rise and relaxed through the seat and thighs, gradually tapering toward gathered elastic cuffs at the ankles. An elasticized waistband and covered front closure make the fit flexible and straightforward.
At the center back, the pants feature a deep V-shaped opening that reveals the layer worn beneath. The opening appears deliberately shaped rather than caused by a simple tear, although its original purpose or possible alteration history cannot be confirmed from the photographs. These should be worn with an intentional base layer underneath.
On Jayden, the pants sit high at the waist with easy room through the hips and legs, finishing at the ankle in a softly gathered jogger shape. The combination of utilitarian construction, warm gold color, and visible quilting makes them especially strong with minimalist knits, denim, leather, oversized outerwear, or sharper tailoring.

Fit Notes
Estimated to best fit a modern men’s M/L.
On Jayden, the waistband sits high with a secure but nonrestrictive fit. The pants have generous room through the seat and thighs, taper through the lower leg, and gather at the ankle.
A modern men’s Medium should expect the relaxed fit shown. A Large should receive a closer fit through the waist and seat while retaining some volume through the legs.
Because the waistband is elasticized and the exact stretch range has not yet been measured, customers should compare the final flat measurements with a similar pair of pants before purchasing.
The center-back opening exposes the garment worn underneath, so these pants require a suitable base layer.
Condition
Good Vintage Condition.
The quilted textile retains a strong mustard-gold color, visible loft, and subtle sheen. The elasticized waistband and ankle cuffs appear functional, and the visible front fastening remains present.
Expected age and wear include overall creasing, tonal variation, light surface marks, and minor irregularity in portions of the quilting and stitching.
The center back has a large, symmetrical V-shaped opening that reveals the layer underneath. The opening appears shaped rather than accidentally torn, but the photographs do not confirm whether it is an original functional detail or a later alteration. It is a prominent part of the garment’s construction and should be considered when purchasing and styling.
No major exterior holes, extensive staining, severe insulation loss, or open leg seams are visible in the supplied photographs. Please review all images closely.
Styling Notes
Pair them with fitted velvet, a ribbed knit, a washed T-shirt, or a cropped jacket to balance their padded volume. They also work with oversized tailoring, military outerwear, raw denim, or a long structured coat.
The gold shade pairs especially well with olive, chocolate brown, pale blue, cream, rust, burgundy, faded black, and deep indigo.
The olive velvet T-shirt, sneakers, and other styling pieces shown in the photographs are separate inventory and are not included.
Styling / Cross-Sell Note
Shown in the January 2026 shoot with the olive-green velvet crewneck T-shirt and the woven-yoke denim jacket. Both are separate products and may be connected through Shop the Look once their listings are active.
Curation Note
Each Quirk piece is hand selected by our team for quality, construction, styling potential, and point of view.
