Description
A beautifully tailored pair of vintage Prego pumps in a rich cognac-brown finish.
The silhouette borrows selectively from traditional brogue footwear while preserving the clean proportions of a classic court shoe. Each squared, gently tapered toe is finished with a perforated cap and small medallion pattern. Curved perforated panels travel along the outer sides toward the heel counters, bringing another layer of detail to the otherwise streamlined upper.
A low-cut vamp lengthens the line of the foot, while the tall block heel adds height with more visual substance than a narrow stiletto. Dark brown heels and sole edges ground the warm reddish-brown upper.
The pale interiors carry metallic clover emblems and lowercase prego branding.
These work especially well with tailored trousers, dark denim, a pleated midi skirt, a fitted knit dress, or a long coat. The color and perforated detailing also make them a natural fit for academic, equestrian-inspired, and softly androgynous styling.

Fit Notes
The original size and width markings are unavailable.
Based on the photographed proportions, scale within the Quirk accessories shoot, toe-box shape, and structured pump construction, these are estimated to best fit a modern women’s US 9/9.5 with an average-width foot.
The squared toe provides more usable forefoot space than a sharply pointed pump, although the upper remains structured rather than highly flexible.
Condition
Good Vintage Condition.
The cognac-brown uppers retain their structured shape and rich overall color. Visible wear includes gentle creasing, scattered surface scratches, small scuffs, rubbing, and natural tonal variation consistent with age and previous use.
The perforated toe caps remain clearly defined, with small marks, light finish wear, and darkening within some of the brogue perforations. Light wear is also visible around the toe corners and sole edges.
The pale interiors remain intact and clearly branded, with darkening, creasing, small marks, and prior foot impressions.
The dark block heels show rubbing and finish variation. Both heel caps remain present. The outsoles display forefoot abrasion, scratching, darkening, and a small pale area that may be surface loss or old residue.
No major tears through the uppers, broken heel structures, or obvious sole separation are visible in the supplied photographs. Please review all images closely, particularly the toes, perforated detailing, side panels, interiors, heels, heel caps, and outsoles.
Styling Notes
Pair these with wide-leg trousers, cropped wool pants, dark straight-leg denim, a pleated midi skirt, or a fitted knit dress.
For a stronger late-1990s reference, wear them with a narrow trouser suit, long leather coat, or ribbed turtleneck. For a softer academic look, pair them with a midi skirt, fine socks, and an oversized cardigan.
The cognac color works beautifully with charcoal, cream, olive, burgundy, navy, chocolate brown, and faded blue denim.
Curation Note
Each Quirk piece is hand selected by our team for quality, construction, styling potential, and point of view.
Brand Note
The pale footbeds carry metallic clover emblems and lowercase prego branding. No size, width, material, or country-of-origin marking is visible in the supplied photographs.
