Description

A sharply designed pair of vintage Sigerson Morrison thong sandals in black leather and reflective silver.

The open silhouette is built around slim leather toe posts and curved instep straps connected by polished O-rings. Domed studs and small square metal loops introduce mixed-metal detail, giving the minimal profile a subtle industrial edge.

Metallic silver-tone footbeds create a clean contrast against the black leather and dark perimeter stitching. The heels are especially distinctive, with low flared profiles, smoky translucent-looking bodies, silver-tone bases, and black heel tips.

The softly squared footbeds, architectural hardware, and compact sculptural heels place the design naturally within the late-1990s and early-2000s return to streamlined, body-conscious footwear.

Wear them with a black slip dress, low-rise trousers, dark denim, a narrow midi skirt, or clean white tailoring. The black and silver palette also works beautifully with charcoal, oxblood, chocolate brown, and cool metallic accessories.

Fit Notes

Marked women’s US 7.5B and estimated to best fit a modern women’s US 7/7.5.

The B marking represents a standard women’s width. The open toe offers some flexibility in overall length, but the narrow-looking footbed, fixed toe posts, and closely placed instep straps may feel more fitted than a contemporary sandal in the same marked size.

Approximate modern international equivalents are UK 5/5.5, EU/IT/FR 37.5/38.5, and JP 24/24.5. These conversions are guidance rather than guaranteed equivalents because fit varies according to maker, production period, foot shape, strap placement, and preferred toe room.

Condition

Good Vintage Condition.

The black leather straps remain structurally intact and retain strong overall color. Visible wear includes creasing through the instep straps, light surface scratches, rubbing along the strap edges, and minor finish wear around the toe posts and hardware attachments.

The mixed-metal hardware remains present. Visible age-related wear includes light tarnish, tonal variation, and small surface marks.

The metallic silver-tone footbeds show pronounced creasing, wrinkling, scratches, darkened impressions, rubbing, and localized finish loss. The perimeter stitching remains substantially intact, with age-related discoloration and handling along the edges.

The leather outsoles show moderate to substantial forefoot abrasion, scratching, discoloration, and finish loss. Sticker residue remains on one outsole. The Sigerson Morrison, Vero Cuoio, Made in Italy, and 7½ B markings remain visible.

Both sculptural heels and heel tips remain present. The tips show visible wear and should be inspected for remaining life before regular use.

No completely detached strap, obvious sole separation, collapsed heel, or major structural failure is visible in the supplied photographs. Please review all images closely, particularly the straps, toe posts, hardware, footbeds, heel tips, and outsoles.

Styling Notes

Pair these with a black slip dress, dark straight-leg denim, cropped trousers, or a narrow column skirt.

For a stronger turn-of-the-millennium look, style them with a fitted tank, low-rise tailoring, silver jewelry, and a compact shoulder bag.

Curation Note

Each Quirk piece is hand selected by our team for quality, construction, styling potential, and point of view.

Authenticity Note

Designer items are reviewed before being brought to market. Quirk takes authenticity seriously, and the sale of counterfeit goods is illegal. Any included third-party authentication paperwork will be noted clearly.

So thankful for Quirk and their pop up for folks affected from the fires! I've been able to stop by a few times to pick up much needed items after losing my things from the fires. They offer everything from clothing, shoes, hygiene items, accessories, and you'll find a combination of brand new and gently used items. The volunteers are literally the sweetest and most helpful. It genuinely feels like a peaceful, fun, and productive shopping experience. So grateful for quirk and their pop up, strongly recommend.

Best selection of curated designer vintage clothing in LA. Maybe even on the west coast. Great prices. Great quality. I’ve had pieces for years. Great customer service and styling advice to boot.

I volunteered at Quirk all afternoon today, and there is so much love and support alive in that space. They are overwhelmed with so many incredible donations and every single thing is being sorted and placed directly into the free shop where fire victims can come shop and get what they need. All items are the same quality you would find in a thrift store like Buffalo Exchange. There were volunteers helping people find clothing items that fit and served their needs while they’re grappling with the loss of their homes and belongings. There are so many ways fire victims need support and this is one of them! Thank you Quirk and the other amazing organization and businesses stepping up to help our community!

I've been coming to Quirk for years now. Some of my favorite pieces have come from her shop and I always get compliments. It's the perfect place to get something unique that not everyone has. Top quality items. One of my first pieces I bought from her is a vintage Armani blazer that has become a regular staple piece for me. Still in my rotation years later :) The shopping experience itself is always a treat (coming from someone who doesn't like shopping). Melynda is super welcoming and helpful if you're looking for something in particular. If she doesn't have it, it's likely she will soon, as she's regularly getting new inventory. Also, be sure to check out her shopping events!

This is the cutest store with a really well curated selection. Makes sense because the owner is a renowned stylist who has worked here and abroad. 10/10 recommend.

Quirk for Fire Vicitms has been such a special place for me. I have found wonderful clothes to get myself started after losing my home in Pacific Palisades. The boutique is clean, organized and the volunteers are so kind and helpful. Melinda who runs has become my friend and I have run into other friends who lost their homes and met many new ones. 5 stars plus another 5 stars

I volunteered at The People's Free Boutique while it was still in its temporary space, and I am better for it. It is a wonderful resource, Melynda has been so organized, compassionate, and all around an amazing leader for this huge effort to assist those impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. Through some folks' worst days, Melynda and the Quirk team were there. It's amazing that Melynda has kept it up for as long as she has, and I hope the People's Free Boutique can stay open as long as there is a community need.

I had a really good experience at Quirk. Its located in DTLA which is known to give you headaches with parking. Luckily there were several fairly priced garage options on the same block. The shop is located on the second floor of this cool, early 20th century style building. I love vintage buildings so I was hyped before I even stepped into Quirk. But once inside I was really digging the vibes. They have a really selection of vintage, modern clothes for women and men. With assistance of the curator, Melynda, I was able to grab a few items for an upcoming headshot session. I didn't have to break the bank as the items I purchased were from a $20 rack. I will def go again. I highly recommend checking it out.
