Description

A graphic pair of vintage Via Spiga sandals in black-and-white leather with sculptural translucent heels.

Slender black leather straps curve across the foot and pass through small white leather connector tabs. Two stacked black leather oval appliqués anchor each upper, finished with visible white topstitching that gives the minimal construction a dimensional, almost jewelry-like quality.

The sharply squared open toes and black-and-white footbeds create a clean foundation beneath the layered strap work. From the side, smoky translucent heels flare gently beneath contrasting white leather heel-seat panels, giving the sandals an architectural profile.

The combination of monochrome color blocking, tubular straps, prominent contrast stitching, square toes, and translucent heels captures the playful precision of turn-of-the-millennium footwear.

The M marking represents a standard women’s width. The square open toe offers some flexibility in overall length, but the fixed curved straps and closely fitted forefoot may feel more secure than an adjustable contemporary sandal.

Good Vintage Condition.

The black leather straps and oval appliqués remain structurally intact and retain strong overall color. Visible wear includes light creasing, surface rubbing, small scratches, and minor edge wear consistent with prior use.

The white leather sections show age-related toning, light scuffing, scattered brown-toned marks, creasing, and localized finish wear. The contrast stitching remains substantially intact.

The black portions of the footbeds show visible impressions, rubbing, and surface wear. The white portions show creasing, handling, discoloration, and small areas of finish wear.

The dark leather outsoles show moderate abrasion, scratching, surface loss, and several small worn areas. The Via Spiga, Vero Cuoio, Made in Italy, EU 38, and US 7.5M markings remain visible.

Both translucent heels remain present and appear structurally intact. Visible wear includes light scratching, surface haze or tonal variation, and wear to the heel tips.

No completely detached strap, obvious sole separation, major visible crack through either heel, collapsed heel, or other structural failure is visible in the supplied photographs.
