Description
Camouflage, with absolutely no intention of disappearing. These First Row cargo shorts layer white and green painted marks over an earthy woodland print, with stacked flap pockets and frayed hems adding plenty of texture. The longer, slim-cut leg keeps all that detail in a fairly narrow silhouette.
First Row is a Los Angeles streetwear label that reworks American sportswear classics. Here, the familiar cargo short gets a more expressive treatment: silver-tone fastenings, rip-and-repair detailing and paint across the pockets, thighs and back. The contrast between the orderly camouflage pattern and irregular surface marks is what makes them interesting.
Construction & fit
The shorts have belt loops, a button waistband and zip fly, front and back pockets, and additional flap cargo pockets down the legs. Released raw hems finish the longer cut. The painted and distressed detailing is part of the design.
Size 32 reference measurements: 33-inch waist circumference, 13½-inch inseam and an 8¾-inch leg opening measured flat. Compare these with a pair you like the fit of; the waist measurement is for the garment, not the wearer’s body.
Styling notes
The photos make a good case for mixing prints: an art-print bomber and black knit give the camo an unexpected partner. A plain white tee, striped socks and clean sneakers let the paintwork take the lead. For a sharper contrast, try a neatly pressed shirt with the sleeves rolled and a pair of loafers. Keep the top shorter or tucked so the pockets and waistband remain visible.
