Description
A little dressing-room drama never hurt an evening. This vintage pink set brings together a long slip and matching robe, with narrow pale trim tracing the neckline and a small floral accent at the front. The slip has a deep V neckline and back, a raised waist seam and a softly falling skirt. Over it, the robe adds fluttering short sleeves and a front tie.
The pleasure of a matching set is the way the layers work together. The robe gives the shoulders a softer outline, while the long slip keeps a continuous line underneath. Worn open, the robe frames the V neckline; tied, it brings the two pieces into a more complete dressing-gown silhouette.
Beyond the dressing room
Keep both layers together with a low mule for an evening at home that deserves a little effort. To take the slip out, add a cropped cardigan or a short jacket, leaving enough of the long skirt visible to keep the proportions light. A simple pendant can follow the V neckline without competing with the trim.
Pink looks particularly good with a less sugary companion: chocolate brown, burgundy or olive. Try one of those colors in a small bag or shoe. If you prefer to keep the palette pale, ivory knitwear will pick up the trim. An underlayer can provide the coverage you want when wearing vintage nightwear as a dress.

The robe and slip are sold as one set. Measurements of both pieces are available as needed, including the slip’s bust, waist and length and the robe’s overlap.
