Description

A jewelry-forward pair of BCBGMAXAZRIA flat sandals with the ornate, layered detailing associated with 2000s footwear.

Wide taupe-grey leather bands cross the forefoot, each set with oversized faceted clear embellishments that catch the light with a smoky, mirrored finish. Tan woven cord threads through the center of the upper and ties over the vamp, adding soft texture and a slightly utilitarian contrast to the polished stones.

Slim leather straps extend toward adjustable ankle closures, while square open toes and low stacked-look heels keep the silhouette streamlined. Dark taupe footbeds, visible perimeter stitching, and warm brown sole edges complete the tonal construction.

The leather has developed natural variation and visible wear over time. One faceted embellishment is missing from the outer edge of one lower forefoot band and is disclosed clearly in the condition notes.

Wear them with faded denim, a washed silk dress, cropped trousers, a narrow midi skirt, or relaxed summer tailoring. Their combination of muted leather, oversized embellishment, and cord lacing also works beautifully with mixed-metal jewelry and tonal neutral dressing.

Fit Notes

Marked US 7½ M and estimated to best fit a modern women’s US 7/7.5.

The open toe and adjustable ankle buckles provide some flexibility. The woven forefoot cord can be retied to adjust tension over the vamp, but the primary leather bands and square footbed remain fixed. The silhouette appears relatively streamlined and may fit best on a medium or slightly narrower foot.

Approximate modern international equivalents are UK 5/5.5, EU/FR/IT 37.5/38, and JP 23.5/24. These conversions are guidance rather than guaranteed equivalents because fit varies by production period, foot shape, instep height, strap placement, and preferred toe room.

Condition

Good Vintage Condition.

The taupe-grey leather uppers show visible age and prior wear, including surface rubbing, creasing, darkened edges, tonal variation, scattered marks, and areas of discoloration. The primary forefoot bands and side straps remain attached and retain their structure.

The oversized faceted clear embellishments show scattered surface scratching, clouding, and tonal variation. One embellishment is missing from the outer edge of one lower forefoot band, leaving the dark circular attachment area visible. The remaining visible embellishments appear present.

The tan woven cord laces remain attached to both sandals and show light discoloration, handling wear, and minor fraying. Their metal end caps remain present, and the cords appear functional.

The dark taupe footbeds show visible spotting, impressions, rubbing, and discoloration from prior wear. The BCBGMAXAZRIA branding remains legible.

The adjustable ankle straps and buckles remain present. Visible wear includes rubbing and darkening along the straps, creasing near the buckle holes, and age-related tarnish or discoloration to the hardware.

The leather outsoles show walking wear, surface scratching, discoloration, and edge rubbing. The perimeter stitching remains visible, and the low stacked-look heels retain their shape.

No completely detached structural strap, major sole separation, collapsed heel, or other obvious structural failure is visible in the supplied photographs. Please review all images closely, particularly the missing embellishment, leather surfaces, cords, buckles, footbeds, outsole edges, and heels.

Styling Notes

Pair these with a washed silk dress, cropped utility trousers, faded denim, or an airy neutral skirt.

For a stronger 2000s treatment, add an oversized shoulder bag, stacked bangles, softly tinted eyewear, and a fitted tank or draped jersey top.

Curation Note

Each Quirk piece is hand selected by our team for quality, construction, styling potential, and point of view.

Authenticity Note

Designer items are reviewed before being brought to market. Quirk takes authenticity seriously, and the sale of counterfeit goods is illegal. Any included third-party authentication paperwork will be noted clearly.

So thankful for Quirk and their pop up for folks affected from the fires! I've been able to stop by a few times to pick up much needed items after losing my things from the fires. They offer everything from clothing, shoes, hygiene items, accessories, and you'll find a combination of brand new and gently used items. The volunteers are literally the sweetest and most helpful. It genuinely feels like a peaceful, fun, and productive shopping experience. So grateful for quirk and their pop up, strongly recommend.

Best selection of curated designer vintage clothing in LA. Maybe even on the west coast. Great prices. Great quality. I’ve had pieces for years. Great customer service and styling advice to boot.

I volunteered at Quirk all afternoon today, and there is so much love and support alive in that space. They are overwhelmed with so many incredible donations and every single thing is being sorted and placed directly into the free shop where fire victims can come shop and get what they need. All items are the same quality you would find in a thrift store like Buffalo Exchange. There were volunteers helping people find clothing items that fit and served their needs while they’re grappling with the loss of their homes and belongings. There are so many ways fire victims need support and this is one of them! Thank you Quirk and the other amazing organization and businesses stepping up to help our community!

I've been coming to Quirk for years now. Some of my favorite pieces have come from her shop and I always get compliments. It's the perfect place to get something unique that not everyone has. Top quality items. One of my first pieces I bought from her is a vintage Armani blazer that has become a regular staple piece for me. Still in my rotation years later :) The shopping experience itself is always a treat (coming from someone who doesn't like shopping). Melynda is super welcoming and helpful if you're looking for something in particular. If she doesn't have it, it's likely she will soon, as she's regularly getting new inventory. Also, be sure to check out her shopping events!

This is the cutest store with a really well curated selection. Makes sense because the owner is a renowned stylist who has worked here and abroad. 10/10 recommend.

Quirk for Fire Vicitms has been such a special place for me. I have found wonderful clothes to get myself started after losing my home in Pacific Palisades. The boutique is clean, organized and the volunteers are so kind and helpful. Melinda who runs has become my friend and I have run into other friends who lost their homes and met many new ones. 5 stars plus another 5 stars

I volunteered at The People's Free Boutique while it was still in its temporary space, and I am better for it. It is a wonderful resource, Melynda has been so organized, compassionate, and all around an amazing leader for this huge effort to assist those impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. Through some folks' worst days, Melynda and the Quirk team were there. It's amazing that Melynda has kept it up for as long as she has, and I hope the People's Free Boutique can stay open as long as there is a community need.

I had a really good experience at Quirk. Its located in DTLA which is known to give you headaches with parking. Luckily there were several fairly priced garage options on the same block. The shop is located on the second floor of this cool, early 20th century style building. I love vintage buildings so I was hyped before I even stepped into Quirk. But once inside I was really digging the vibes. They have a really selection of vintage, modern clothes for women and men. With assistance of the curator, Melynda, I was able to grab a few items for an upcoming headshot session. I didn't have to break the bank as the items I purchased were from a $20 rack. I will def go again. I highly recommend checking it out.
