The Here to Serve You wildflower fashion print brings a little theater to an open landscape. Two figures stand among yellow flowers beneath a striped parasol: one in a long patterned dress carrying a small handbag, the other in a pale printed shirt and dark shorts, holding the parasol high.
Melynda Choothesa styled and photographed the scene on 35mm film, then scanned and edited the image herself. The photograph was made during a California super bloom. Pale blue sky, distant mountains and the yellow field give the clothes and poses a bright, spacious setting.
