A sunset worth staying out for. The Joshua Tree Sunset Bowler Shirt sets a dark desert landscape against a purple-and-orange sky, with a warm band of yellow at the horizon. Melynda Choothesa’s print has the mood of the last few minutes of daylight, when the land becomes a silhouette and the sky takes over.
Short sleeves, an open collar and a boxy cut give the image a relaxed frame. Button it up to keep the landscape together across the front, or wear it open over a plain tee for a looser arrangement. The 95% polyester and 5% spandex fabric has four-way stretch, giving the shirt some ease as you move.
Black trousers will pick up the foreground of the print and let the sky stand out. For a softer combination, try faded charcoal denim and a simple white tee. A burgundy or rust layer underneath can draw out the warmer colors without matching them exactly.
Wear the hem loose over a straighter trouser, or try tailored shorts and loafers when the weather allows. A quiet blazer over the shirt turns the landscape into a flash of color between the lapels. There is plenty happening in the print, so a well-chosen solid can do the rest.
