My experience with Quirk was online. I was in some need of something white to wear that catches the eye, and found something that suited my taste in a few minutes. I had a fun time browsing the site, looking at the selection that was offered, it was fun to see so many bright colors, which is why it was a pleasent surprise for me to find something I felt more comfortable with. I made my purchase online after seeing how the sizes were measured (which was more detailed than most other sites), and felt confident making my choice. After about 10 days it arrived, and it was exactly how I saw it on the site. I have joyfully followed Melynda and Quirk grow over the past year. Every time I get a little extra money I pop in to get a nice something-or-another for myself and leave with much more; life stories, fashion advice, and sometimes coffee. I love this boutique! It's clear the owner Melynda has thoughtfully hand-picked and carefully curated an amazing collection of designer vintage and secondhand pieces. She has a fantastic selection of designer shoes and purses, and everything is in A+ condition or is like new! Melynda herself is super personable and always happy to help you find befitting pieces. There's also a superb selection of men's clothes and she has her own original designs for sale as well! So far I've bought two pairs of velvet gloves from her in-house label and I LOVE them! I get tons of compliments whenever I wear them. The designs are so unique, and the quality and construction are top notch. She's even making me a custom pair of pants using the same fabric as the gloves so I can have a matching set to wear to the Dreamstate Festival later this year! Plus there's a $20 sale rack with incredible finds. I highly recommend Quirk if you're looking for unique pieces that are in great condition and well priced, and super customer service 🤗

Upon having dinner in DTLA a friend and I stumbled upon QUIRK, what a treasure of a vintage store. A hidden gem!!! An insider's secret.. but not for long. Loved Melynda's eye for well curated vintage clothing and accessories. Working as a stylist in Films and Editorial, Melynda is defintely on point. The Staff at The People’s Free Boutique is amazing.  These folks make the space come alive and fill it with positive energy and a high level of support. The clothes are well organized by sizes and styles. Learning about the journey that the organizers took to make this boutique a reality was very inspiring to me.  I learned that this idea became a reality on January 8th - one day after the fire.  This shows the passion, planning, and drive of the staff. So thankful for Quirk and their pop up for folks affected from the fires! I've been able to stop by a few times to pick up much needed items after losing my things from the fires. They offer everything from clothing, shoes, hygiene items, accessories, and you'll find a combination of brand new and gently used items. The volunteers are literally the sweetest and most helpful. This place is the bomb!! Super cool fun eclectic selection and owner Melinda is the bomb!! Walked in just before closing and she was patient and helpful and hooked me up with the bright blue vintage Jumpsuit & metallic belt of my dreams. :) Not to mention a rad purple Phillip Lim top on sale for $20. Went by on a Saturday with my daughter.  Melynda was awesome and helpful, as always.  We both found things we needed.  What I appreciate about Melynda is the personal service and how she honestly cares about if something is "right" for you or not. My mom and I found the Peoples Free Boutique by Quirk after the fires devastated our neighborhood in Altadena. We've been building care boxes for an entire group of people, not just ourselves, and were welcomed into the space. It allowed us to recreate beautiful closets in a safe space, which has become harder to find as the relief efforts continue in the second wave. Very grateful for the energy and dedication that Melynda and her team of volunteers had shown to our community!! Go check out the Peoples Free Boutique on Spring St if you've been impacted by the fires they will help you rebuild and feel fabulous! If you weren't impacted by the fires but want to support Quirk for now you would message Melynda on Instagram to set up a shopping appointment!
