Description

A beautifully preserved pair of vintage Yves Saint Laurent pumps in saturated fuchsia suede.

The design is pared back enough to let the color and silhouette make the statement. Sharply tapered toes, low-cut vamps, and slender covered heels create a long, refined line, while the rich suede gives the vivid pink a soft, dimensional finish.

Metallic gold-tone interiors carry the full Yves Saint Laurent name. The smooth black outsoles are finished with engraved YSL monograms and clearly marked European size 36.

The intensely colored suede and streamlined pointed-pump construction reflect the polished, high-impact footwear language associated with the late 1980s and early 1990s. They work equally well as evening shoes or as the single flash of color in a restrained daytime look.

The sharply tapered toe and close pump construction may feel more fitted through the forefoot than a contemporary rounded-toe shoe carrying the same European marking. These are likely best suited to a narrow or standard-narrow foot, or someone comfortable with a close pointed-pump fit.
