5 stars for what they are doing for the community but not for my personal experience. They were listed on the wildfire Google sheet / website as one of the few places still accepting donations, so I brought all my unworn clothes over. The address on the website and online is not the correct one, so had to get back in my car and find new parking closer to the new location. Then I get inside and they said donations are by appointment only. 30 minute drive and a lot of parking hassle with nothing to show for it. Would be nice if they updated their donation status and location on the Google sheet. Annoying for me but glad they are helping those in need. The new location is in the photo.

My experience with Quirk was online. I was in some need of something white to wear that catches the eye, and found something that suited my taste in a few minutes. I had a fun time browsing the site, looking at the selection that was offered, it was fun to see so many bright colors, which is why it was a pleasent surprise for me to find something I felt more comfortable with. I made my purchase online after seeing how the sizes were measured (which was more detailed than most other sites), and felt confident making my choice. After about 10 days it arrived, and it was exactly how I saw it on the site. It was my 2nd or 3rd time browsing the site, and my first time purchasing from it. I was familiar with the site and brand (was recommended by a close friend of mine who has good taste), and decided to check it out. I liked the layout of the site, made it pretty easy to look for what I like, and found what I wanted in like 4 minutes after browsing. Paying was straightforward, I received the package in about 10 days (flat fee for shipping), and it fit pretty well. This place is the bomb!! Super cool fun eclectic selection and owner Melinda is the bomb!! Walked in just before closing and she was patient and helpful and hooked me up with the bright blue vintage Jumpsuit & metallic belt of my dreams. :) Not to mention a rad purple Phillip Lim top on sale for $20. Great vintage shop in Downtown! With all the new vintage stores popping up around LA these days, Quirk really stands out with having unique, high quality items that are personally curated by the owner, Melynda, who is also a professional stylist and costume designer. Most vintage shops these days are just filled with XXL 80s/90s shirts, and overpriced jeans. Quirk has one-of-a-kind items that have made me a return customer. Love this store & Melinda beyond BEYOND She is so helpful and creative. Her fashion sense and charm will bring about the perfect outfit for any occasion. I went in 6 months pregnant, hot and in need of some fun looks to brighten up my life. Melinda who started and runs Quirk the people free boutique is so amazing upbeat and selfless to continue to help all of us that lost our homes. Quirk has been a loving space for me to get help to start over again and a big part of my healing journey I have visited a couple of times and found wonderful clothes to help me get back to work and visit my son at college. It is organized, clean and has great donations. I am forever grateful and count Melinda as a new friend. I also met many other fire victims and ran into old friends. This humble little vintage shop, is a HIDDEN GEM in downtown Los Angeles. If ya "blink" ya jus might miss this sweet little treasure chest.. The owners prices R VERY AFFORDABLE. Did I jus say,"affordable?" I did NOT know that word still eXisted in fashion these daze, haha !! NO joke, she will sincerely work with ya on pricing. She's a doll, & she's knowledgeable about fashion. I UNeXpectedly  "popped-in" & I found the most amazing "rock-starr" coat eva !!  I wish this mini-vintage boutique much success.
