David in the Clouds brings a classical portrait to an art print bikini top, with the face positioned to one side and blue sky across the rest. The asymmetrical image gives the front its character; the back carries the quieter cloud print.
Behind the portrait is a 35mm photograph of clouds above JFK, taken by Quirk founder and designer Melynda on a trip to New York Fashion Week. Layered with a digital photograph of David, the film image turns a familiar sculpture into a very different kind of vacation portrait.
This is a fixed-strap pullover style with a low neckline and a scooped back. Smooth recycled stretch fabric follows the body, while a double layer and removable pads let you choose the amount of padding. The straps are not adjustable, so checking both bust and underbust measurements is useful before choosing a size.
Pair it with the David on the Butt bikini bottoms for a set that carries the portrait from front to back. A solid blue or white bottom also leaves room for the artwork.
Fabric composition varies by production location: 75% recycled polyester and 25% elastane for pieces made in the US or Mexico; 88% recycled polyester and 12% elastane for pieces made in Latvia. Check the garment label for the exact composition of your top.
Rinse thoroughly after swimming to remove salt or chlorine, and follow the care label. Avoid rough surfaces and hook-and-loop fasteners that can snag the fabric.
Measure around the fullest part of your bust, then around your ribcage directly beneath it. Keep the tape level for both measurements. If you fall between sizes, choose the larger size.
