This star print bandana has a character of its own: a yellow star in cat-eye sunglasses and black boots. Quirk founder and designer Melynda drew “You Are a Star” by hand with watercolor pens. Asked whether the character is a boy or a girl, her answer is simple: “It’s a star!”
Repeated across a white ground, the drawing brings a little irreverence to a silk or cotton square. Wear it over your hair with a tailored jacket, roll it into a narrow neck scarf, or tie it to a bag handle. The black outlines and yellow stars hold their own against denim, leather and a clean white shirt.
Choose the fabric for the way you want to wear it. 100% cotton lawn has a light, matte finish and a little structure. 100% silk satin is smoother and more fluid, with a lustrous surface. Both carry the same original artwork and are handmade to order.
The size selector uses Children, Adult and Adult Large as labels. Compare the measurements below with a scarf you already wear; the dimensions are more useful than the age label for deciding how you want to tie it. A smaller square makes a compact neck scarf or bag accent, while a larger square gives you more fabric to fold and knot.
