Description

Strawberry opera gloves with enough colour to carry an outfit. Red berries tumble across a mint-green ground, drawn by Quirk founder and designer Melynda. The original illustration keeps its loose, expressive lines when translated onto plush crushed velvet.

Tastes Like Strawberry opera gloves

The long, over-elbow shape is theatrical; the fruit print has a sense of humour. Soft, stretchy velour follows the hand and arm, with a crushed finish that catches the light. Each pair is handmade to order. Wear them with a simple dress and let the strawberries do the talking, or mix them with another print as shown in our photographs.

Choose your glove size

Measure around your knuckles, then from the tip of your middle finger to the base of your hand. Use both measurements to choose a size. These are measurements of your hand, not the finished glove. The height of the cuff on your upper arm will vary with your proportions.

This place is the bomb!! Super cool fun eclectic selection and owner Melinda is the bomb!! Walked in just before closing and she was patient and helpful and hooked me up with the bright blue vintage Jumpsuit & metallic belt of my dreams. :) Not to mention a rad purple Phillip Lim top on sale for $20. I had a really good experience at Quirk. Its located in DTLA which is known to give you headaches with parking. Luckily there were several fairly priced garage options on the same block. The shop is located on the second floor of this cool, early 20th century style building. I love vintage buildings so I was hyped before I even stepped into Quirk. But once inside I was really digging the vibes. They have a really selection of vintage, modern clothes for women and men. With assistance of the curator, Melynda, I was able to grab a few items for an upcoming headshot session. I didn't have to break the bank as the items I purchased were from a $20 rack. My friends and I had a very pleasant and wonderful visit at Quirk. I got these beautiful snake skin shoes with a vintage neck scarf which i also fall in love with. I got compliments from people every time i wear them.  I wanted to buy everything when I was there. There are jewelry, scarfs , shoes, dresses and the HATS. The price is very affordable so I was a happy shopper.

The next best thing ( or the best ) about Quirk is the shop owner, Melynda. She is friendly and extremely helpful in helping you putting your dream outfits together and giving you advices when you needed them. She makes my shopping experience fun and comfortable.

I had such a wonderful time at Quirk. As someone who has never been to a fashion district and who has never been styled before,  I hadn't extraordinary time getting to know my own sense of fashion. Melynda was so dope and helpful. She helped style me and gave me a new fresh look. I ended up buying something off of the $20 rack so she has affordable options as well. QUIRK is the absolute best. I've come several times since 2020 and they never miss. Melynda is a top-tier curator. All her pieces feel hand-picked with thought, care, and a keen eye for taste and style. It's easy to find a great deal here: I've found a vintage Dior wallet at QUIRK, as well as multiple outfits for red carpets, premieres, photoshoots, and day-to-day wear. She keeps prices super fair and reasonable while knowing her stuff when it comes to true vintage, designer, and quality. I always know I'm getting my money's worth. As someone who loves vintage shopping, thrifting, and flea/artist/vintage markets, I'm always looking for vendors and stores, and QUIRK is one of those special places where you can tell vintage is a real passion, not just a place to make a quick buck on a Tiktok trend (though you can definitely find super trendy pieces here too!). At QUIRK, I'd say clothes are treated like found treasure looking for their forever home! I come back again and again because the pieces are fun and always changing. As a store owner, Melynda is friendly, knowledgable, and is great at offering styling advice for each customer's unique taste. I volunteered at The People's Free Boutique while it was still in its temporary space, and I am better for it. It is a wonderful resource, Melynda has been so organized, compassionate, and all around an amazing leader for this huge effort to assist those impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires. Through some folks' worst days, Melynda and the Quirk team were there.
